The Riggs Family (John & Marcia)

Location: Zambia, Africa

Ministry: Marcia and John were both saved in 1980 at Whittier Lane Baptist Church in New Castle, IN. They served there for nine years as Sunday School teachers, bus workers, janitors, youth department helpers, and anything else that needed to be done. They surrendered as missionaries in 1988 and left for Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO in 1989. After graduation in 1993, they returned to Whittier Lane Baptist Church to serve as associate pastor until September 1994. They were approved as BBFI missionaries to Zambia in September 1994 and arrived on the field in November 1996.

They have three daughters. Dawn Klietz is married to Mike and they have two children, Caleb and Faith. Caleb is seven and Faith is five. Mike Klietz is the Pastor of Calvary Road Baptist Church in Sellersburg, IN. Renee Kamota is married to Stephen. Stephen and Renee have been married for five years. They serve the Lord in West Division Street Baptist Church in Springfield, MO. Stephen is a deacon and attending BBC grad school. Sarah Riggs is married to Dennis Bwalya they also live in Springfield, MO attending West Division Street Baptist Church.

In the ten years the Riggs have spent in Zambia they have started four churches. All four churches have a national pastor. They also have two missions, which have both been started out of one of their four churches. The Lord has truly blessed His ministry there in Zambia.
